Hippie chick!

So of course, only a few days before school starts, I get the inspiration to start a new piece. This is a work in progress as you can see. This will hopefully turn into a finished text/illustration based piece.

Nana's Homemade Meatballs!

This is an illustrative piece I did for a website called "They Draw and Cook" where culinary illustrations are displayed and celebrated for many aspects, including effectiveness of the recipe, creativeness, layout, and overall appeal of the illustration! This recipe displays a family recipe for my Nana's Homemade Meatballs (Which I rarely get to enjoy!) It was a mixed media piece done with Illustrator and Photoshop.

Napcar Updated! It's done!

This is an update on my last post about this sloth illustration. It's finally done! And I've already sold two prints, which I'm ecstatic about! If anyone is interested in purchasing a sloth print, as well as any other print on my site, just leave a comment! Thanks! :)

Napcar. Sloth race car driver!

So.. I love sloths beyond belief and yet I found myself never to have done a piece about a sloth.. so I changed that with this piece! This is a sloth race car driver, and if you can't see the irony.. then I'm not sure what to tell you! This piece started as a traditional watercolor and colored pencil drawing and I have recently moved it into Photoshop to digitally finish it. This is unfinished as you can see, but I will be posting the final project soon!

Self promos!

These are two mock-up magazine ads that were part of a self-promotion project. I focused on a usually negatively thought of trait, which is my loud mouth and turned it into my best selling-point! Take a read and get to know a little about me!

Caitlin mixed media portrait

This is a mixed media painting of my roommate that I did a few weeks ago! I used colored pencil, oil washes, and acrylic to come to this finished state.

Mothman!!

This is a paper toy I created of the cryptozoological creature, Mothman, who was first sighted in Point Pleasant, West Virginia. This little guy was made from Rag cool tone paper and is composed of five pieces.
